RIP Fr Pat McKenna

1 min read

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Fr Patrick McKenna, a much‑loved priest who served our region with great dedication. Originally from Tavanagh, Killybrone, Co. Monaghan, Fr McKenna brought with him a deep sense of faith, community, and kindness that shaped his ministry throughout his life.

His priestly journey took him from St Joseph’s, Gilesgate to English Martyrs, Fenham, then St Columba’s, Wallsend, and finally St Bede’s, Stockton. He will be remembered for his humility, compassion, and the gentle support he offered to so many.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the parish communities he served so faithfully.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
